Entertainment law

A legal field which focuses on providing legal services to the entertainment industry. The principal areas of entertainment law substantially overlap with the well-known and conventional field of intellectual property law. Much of the work of an entertainment law practice can be transaction based and deal with issues such as drafting contracts or assistance with negotiation and mediation between employers and employees. Defamation, personality rights and privacy rights issues also commonly arise in the field of entertainment law.
