Our focus is to address unique legal issues faced by Internet and software firms, including on-line privacy, domain name, encryption, e-commerce, and other cyber-law issues. Our members have published articles, given speeches, and counseled clients on the wide range of Internet and software law issues, such as domain name litigation, patentability of software, business method inventions, and cyberspace trademark disputes.
We have extensive experience in helping clients in areas such as: copyright, trademark, domain name, and service mark registrations and dispute resolution; advising and procuring intellectual property protection for invested engineering resources, including business method, software and Internet-based technology patents and copyrights; negotiating licensing or other business transactions for technology, content, domain names, and intellectual property transfers; advising on and resolving intellectual property-related disputes; counseling on commercial or corporate issues; and representing clients in cyber-law intellectual property disputes before federal, state and administrative courts, and arbitration tribunals.
Our members have wide-range industry experience and training, having worked as system architects, software engineers and legal counsel to many software companies. Some members of this practice group hold degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. |
